LUCA FERRINI studied piano, harpsichord, organ and organ composition, graduating with full marks from the Conservatories of Trieste and Udine. For almost forty years (in 2025 he will celebrate his 40th anniversary of career) he has performed all over Europe and the world (St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Beijing Concert Hall, Venice’s La Fenice theatre, Ljubljana’s Cankar Hall and Philharmonic Hall, Vienna’s Musikverein, Dublin’s National Concert Hall, National Theatre of Malta, Seoul National University, Philharmonic Halls of Odessa, Kaunas and Ulan Bator, Brussel’s St. Michel theatre, Prague, Budapest, Bucharest, Zagreb, Belgrade, Copenhagen, Madrid, Porto, Brisbane, Melbourne, Hobart, Buenos Aires, in Chile etc.), equally acclaimed on all three instruments, as a soloist, in chamber ensembles and as a soloist with orchestra, often under the baton of renowned conductors. He is a member of early music and contemporary ensembles (he has performed over 180 premières), he has recorded 40 CDs (as a pianist, harpsichordist and organist) and made recordings for some ten European radios and televisions, as well as been featured on live radio programmes. He is the official accompanist at summer seminars and academies, as well as at international competitions of music interpretation in Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Belgium, Poland, Denmark (Carl Nielsen International Competition), Mexico (Henryk Szeryng Violin Competition), China (Beijing International Music Competition). He has taught at the conservatories of Brescia, Salerno, Klagenfurt and Ljubljana. Currently he works as piano accompanist at the Ljubljana Academy of Music and at the High School of Music in Koper-Capodistria, where he teaches also piano, harpsichord and chamber music.
